Who This Course is For

Case Study: A 32-year-old Hispanic worker was painting a private residence. When he was done working for the day, he began to clean up. He picked up his 40-foot metal ladder and retracted it to approximately 20 feet. He then carried the ladder upright back to the work van. As he was walking, the top of the ladder contacted a 13,200-volt overhead power line located just over 20 feet above the ground. The painter was electrocuted and fell to the ground. He was taken to the local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

This online course satisfies the OSHA General Industry (29 CFR 1910) and Construction Industry (29 CFR 1926) training requirements for Ladder and Stairway Safety. ANSI and CDC: NIOSH Safety Standards are also covered.
